Angela Miller's Purple Dress

This is my recreation of Angela Miller's dress as seen at the end of the CG animated film, Resident Evil: Degeneration!

Some explaining: I know that a lot of people (even RE fans) didn't enjoy the film... but I really enjoyed it and took it for what it is. I think they kept true to the RE feel of things and they didn't skewer any of the previous plots horribly. Besides, it had Leon and Claire... so why should we complain? It was still a million times better than that live action crap (despite Leon being very, very constipated throughout the whole film ) and I think they finally did the RE universe justice with a movie

I think that Angela is a pretty cool character and I definitely enjoyed her enough to cosplay her (plus, cosplays where I can use my real hair are always a bonus! XD). I figure that somewhere along the road, I'll whip up a Degeneration Leon outfit for my husband. Possibly for Ohayocon 2010.

I didn't have the money to make her SRT outfit (though I would very much like to one day!) so I opted for the purple dress. It was a lot cheaper and aside from those ruffles being a pain in the ass, I think it was worth it. Do I think the dress is flattering or beautiful? Not particularly (though my dad really likes it which makes me LOL). So why did I make it, you ask? Well... I thought it was intriguing... besides, I figured that nobody else would ever want to cosplay it so I gave it a go. It's definitely recognizable, in my opinion.

I wore it to Otakon briefly but all of my photos are crap... so my mom took these ones for me at my parent's house
